A Futuristic Fashion Experience

Legacy of Tomorrow was an exclusive runway event for Metaverse Fashion Week 2023, showcasing 14 high-class fashion designs in a luxury, wonderland-themed environment.

The show took place in a vast desert landscape with a canyon as the main stage, creating an immersive and inspiring atmosphere for visitors.

The event featured dramatically enlarged models wearing high-resolution outfits, allowing spectators to observe intricate garment details.

Advanced simulation techniques and Vertex Texture Animation, ensured high-quality visuals while optimizing memory usage and keeping the fidelity of the moving garments.

Visitors could explore the designs from aerial perspectives, enhancing their engagement with digital fashion.

Creating a Pipeline to maintain quality

My main focus on this project was creating a Pipeline that Converts Marvelous Designer Garments into usable Meshes. Splitting hard surface details like buttons from soft surfaced that was simulated in high fidelity to see the winkles. Then optimizing the garments and transfering the simulation to the optimized version. In the end the animation was encoded into a VAT (Vertex Animation Texture) that saved a lot of memory compared to an Alembic file. This way i could keep the details and save Memory and Performance.

Other Tasks involved the Avatar and Rigging Pipeline, Animation, Customization, Particle Effects, Shaders.

The simulated were converted to a VertexTexture Animation to save memory and keep the high quality of the simulation.
